Feb. 21

Hi!
Sorry about not posting yesterday, but we couldn't get on a computer at the internet club.
The past couple of days with him have been interesting. Overall, he is a pretty happy guy, loves music and playing with cars. We gave him a little piano keyboard and its the first thing he grabs when he sees us. He also loves to play with cars. We need to work on his throwing skills :) Language is always a barrier, but we are getting better at it everyday. He has lots of energy and is wearing us out. Yesterday we were able to see his whole groupa sing us some songs, they were so cute! He loves singing. We are doing OK here, but we reallllly miss pizza.
Bye.

Dad said he sent the Pizza in luggage, by plane, hope you get it. Sounds like everything is going well. Kasey sounds like any 4 year old, bribery works. You two are connecting with him, you know what he likes. It is going to take time to gain his complete trust. Will you be able to take him out for a day away from the orphanage? That would really help. Gramma Ives is still asking what he looks like. Love you guys, take care.

When you get back to Kiev, eat at the sports grill at The Arena. We enjoyed the San Francisco pizza - it is pepperoni. We even ordered one to go so that we could eat something familiar while in our apartment.

Our first trip consisted of 12 days away from our 3 year old biological son, and we missed him terribly. We can only imagine how much you must miss your family here in the US. We will continue to pray for your family and a quick return back home!

I am so excited for you guys! Yay for finding a young healthy child! We are in a city about 3 1/2 hours west of Kiev now. And we ate pizza for lunch today! I'm sure you can find a place with some if you ask around, especially since we are not that far from Italy. ;) Isn't it so weird trying to communicate with your child? I can't wait until ours learns English, because I don't know how we will get much of anything done until then. Good luck with getting a court date and we hope that everything goes smoothly for you for the rest of your trip. It sounds like you have a very good facilitator!
